Our Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Yeah, yeah, so I seem to be slacking on this blog thing, but hey, I try! lol. Saturday we also went to the Pumpkin Patch at Cobb's Ranch in Fresno. I took Taylor last year with a friend of mine, Heather. Taylor had so much fun, and there were so many pumpkins to choose from. This year, it was a family event.

The kids had a blast. We thought we would go through the corn maze first. It was pretty interesting and kind of cool to be surrounded by corn. It was also really creepy. (The next day Children of the Corn was on TV..haha) The boys had fun, running (even though they weren't supposed to) everywhere. They kept finding corn on the ground, and they thought that was the coolest thing. We were told that it would take approximately thirty minutes to find our way through the maze. Mark says we are obviously smarter than the average bear because we were out of that sucker in fifteen minutes, tops! We were kind of bummed that we made it through so fast, but it was still a lot of fun!

After the maze, it was off to the monstrous pumpkin patch. Taylor took charge of the wheelbarrow and Austyn took charge of the running around like a mad-man. We found a good spot and it didn't take long for the boys to find their pumpkins. Mark and I tried to find a big one that the two of us could share, but they all seemed to be around the same size. We have pumpkins growing in the backyard that are bigger than the ones at the pumpkin patch. Of course, our pumpkins are still green!?!?

After we picked out our pumpkins we visited the farm animals. Austyn loved petting them. Taylor especially loved petting the donkey. lol. The donkey just stood there with his eyes closed and his head was tilted back. He was really enjoying the ear rub. Ryleigh even thought she would pet one of the miniature horses, but he tried to nibble her fingers. I put an end to that right away.

Next was the Pumpkin Corral, where they have hay and pumpkins on the ground. It's a great spot for taking pictures. We had a stranger take our family picture, but Taylor's face was covered by Ryleigh's head and Austyn was looking down. It was a good attempt. All in all, our visit to the pumpkin patch was a lot of fun. Long, but fun. So, here are a few of the pictures from that. We hope you enjoy!
